Sam graduated from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka in 2002. Sam was a small animal veterinarian for 3 years in a busy practice in Colombo, and a government veterinarian for 8 years thereafter in Sri Lanka. Sam relocated her family to Australia in 2011, where she completed her Master of Animal Science from the University of Melbourne in 2013. Sam impressively completed the National Veterinary exam (NVE), allowing her to practice as a small animal veterinarian in Australia in 2018.
Sam has a particular passion for internal medicine. Outside of work Sam likes to read travel and spend time with her husband and young daughter.
