At Guildford Veterinary Hospital, we offer annual vaccinations and checkups for cats, dogs and rabbits. Every annual checkup includes a full nose-to-tail examination including a dental check, weight check and the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your pet.

Guildford Vets are open for consultations 6 days a week. Making an appointment is appreciated, however walk-in consultations will be seen to as soon as possible. Consultations are available from 8:00am to 6:00pm on weekdays, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays. Consultations at Guildford Vets are for FREE for Value Plan patients. Click here for more information.

We offer professional dog grooming (with or without sedation) by our groomer Tahlia on Wednesdays. Our other nurses are not specialist groomers, but are most happy to clip any cats and dogs that require a sedation any day of the week. Nail clips, anal gland expressions and wing clips are available as nurse consultations anytime within our opening hours. Bookings are appreciated.

Free dental checks are available as nurse consultations anytime within our opening hours. Dental checks include information and advice on preventing (further) dental disease, preventative products and diet. Where dental work under anaesthesia is recommended, a cost estimate will be provided. Bookings are appreciated.

Our vets here at Guildford Veterinary Hospital perform a wide range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries including speys and neuters, lump removals, major abdominal surgery, non-specialist ear end eye surgeries, dentistry, amputations, fracture repairs and cruciate repairs – both extracapsular (De Angelis) and Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) cruciate repairs are performed in-house.

Guildford Veterinary Hospital is closed overnight, on Sundays and on public holidays. Patients who need overnight monitoring are referred to Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Homebush. Occasionally, owners may opt for stable patients to remain within the hospital after a careful discussion with our veterinarian, detailing the patient’s necessary level of care and supervision. For all afterhours emergencies please call Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Homebush on 9758 8666.

Injured wildlife is welcome at Guildford Veterinary Hospital and will be checked and treated free of charge where necessary and possible. Please ensure that any animal found is kept safe and warm before being brought to us. The address of where the animal was found is very helpful, as we will endeavour to release in this same spot where possible. For further advice please call Sydney Wildlife on 9413 4300 or visit their website http://www.sydneywildlife.org.au/. It is illegal for any member of the public to provide continued care of a wild animal. Once we have cleared the animal of any health issues, we will therefore pass them on to a certified wildlife carer, who will prepare and action their release.

We are in the process of training our new Puppy Class Instructor – stay tuned!

While we predominantly perform consultations in-house, we are happy to come to you when needed, provided our schedule for the day allows us to. Extra charges do apply – please phone us on 9632 0239 for more information.
